Account Manager




Up to 27,000 basic (OTE 40,000)

Days / Hours:

Monday to Friday / 09:00am – 17:30pm

Do you have experience of working within a target driven environment? Are you experienced at managing a number of different customer accounts at once? The Recruitment Co. are recruiting for one of our key clients and this could be the perfect opportunity if you answered YES to the above.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Upsell and cross-sell current accounts to maximise sales and margin in line with targets
  • Proactively engage with existing clients through outgoing telephone and email communications to ensure retention and foster strong relationships.
  • Introduce and promote promotions, new products, and services to existing customers, effectively utilising the “Gap Fill” approach
  • Identify and win new customers through referrals, data acquisition, and targeted new business campaigns
  • Encourage and drive the usage of our Ecommerce system, SmartPad, among our customer base
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Division to identify opportunities and threats to existing customers, leveraging external support where necessary
  • Handle objections, negotiate deals, and close sales using first-class selling skills
  • Efficiently manage customer orders, queries, and complaints that cannot be resolved through SmartPad
  • Maintain a high standard of service, collaboration, and communication with both internal and external customers
  • Adhere to Company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures, actively participating in creating a safe and healthy workplace

Experience / Requirements:

  • Prior experience in sales or an account management role is a distinct advantage, although training will be provided to the right candidate
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and active listening) to effectively engage and influence stakeholders internally and externally
  • Self-motivated individual with a drive to achieve sales targets and activity Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Confident telephone manner with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to consistently deliver targets in a competitive marketplace
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in using relevant software and CRM systems
  • Strong negotiation skills and a keen sense of commercial awareness
  • Solid understanding of the business-to-business marketplace
