We are currently recruiting for an AA for our client based in Derry( Foyle area). The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork is  completed.

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 6-12 months with a possible extension

Hours of work: Full time 37 Hours per week

Rate of pay: £10.94ph

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Office Support
  • Liaise and correspond with key internal and external stakeholders relating to the Case Prep function on behalf of and upon the request of the EO2, Senior Management. This may involve dealing with telephone calls from defendants, solicitors and other criminal justice agencies.
  • Preparing and printing Indictable.
  • Preparing and printing briefs.
  • Copying and preparing Preliminary Enquiry papers.
  • Update Finance folders.
  • Any other duties as required appropriate to the grade.
  1. Correspondence
  • Check incoming post and task to correct officer for review.
  1. Communication
  • To deal with telephone calls in a professional, courteous and helpful fashion and where necessary transfer promptly to the relevant section.
  • To deal with queries and requests from Lawyers, Police, Solicitors etc. in a helpful and professional manner.
  1. Ad Hoc duties
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required appropriate to the grade, at the direction of the EOII, Deputy Business Manager or Business Manager.

The requirements for this post are as follows:

  • At least 3 months experience working with the relevant IT systems – PPS system – Case Management System (CMS) and Court Service system – ICOS.
  • Ability to use own initiative to plan and organise work under supervision.
  • Have effective planning, organisational and some analytical skills; using these skills to deliver priorities and to solve problems.

 

Essential Criteria applicants must have:

  • 2 GCSE/GCE passes (at A, B or C) in Maths and English.

( Proof of certs required )

  • Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to use own initiative.
