We are currently recruiting for an admin officer based in the Lisburn area. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork, ANI clearance has been completed.

 

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 12 Months with a possibility of extension 

Rate of pay: £11.99

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9-5 (Full time 37 hours) 

 Key Responsibilities:

    To control and record all aspects of ordering, delivery and invoicing of goods relevant to the agreed menus for inmate catering, in conjunction with the i/c caterer. In accordance with Governors Orders, Security Regulations, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene Regulations and the Food Act.

  • To ascertain from the i/c caterer quantities of produce and foodstuffs needed to fulfil menu requirements for inmates.
  • To order the correct quantity of goods on a weekly basis and ensure delivery is on the correct day of the week to comply with agreed menu cycles for inmate catering.
  • To check all invoices against orders received and are correct.
  • To process deliveries / invoices through the Account N.I on a daily basis.
  • To forward invoices to Account N.I.
  • To stock-take on a weekly basis and ensure that all goods are rotated to ensure that ‘use by’ dates are adhered to.
  • To monitor suppliers contract performance against current specifications and raise relevant documentation in the event of non-compliance.
  • To input into TRIM records any new recipes relating to new stock items.
  • To ensure menu cycles are changed and costed when required doing so by the i/c caterer.
  • To ensure budget control on all new items before final inclusion on menu cycle.
  • To maintain regular contact with contracted suppliers to identify new products and obtain best value.
  • When required, any local purchase needed to supply ‘special needs’, weddings, medical / religious diets, NVQ and “Cook-It” initiatives.

 

To actively participate in the post holders training needs as required and contained in their Personal Development Plan (PDP and any other initiatives such as Investors in People (IIP)

Essential Criteria applicants must have:

  • five GCSE/GCE (or equivalence) passes (at A, B or C) with Maths and English.

( Proof of certs required ) We cannot pass your application without them

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an administrative role
  • Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to use own initiative.
