Assistant Scientific Officer – Hillsborough

£11.17 per hour

Job duties:

· General preparation of laboratory samples for analysis especially grass and silage

· Booking samples onto the LIMS system

· General laboratory housekeeping – assisting with cleaning and maintenance of the laboratory glassware and benches.

· Scanning and data logging of results unto LIMS

 

Purpose of the job:

· To assist the laboratory by helping process large numbers of grass/silage for the commercial business

· Maintain the customer turn-around time for scanning of samples.

To assist with the research projects of by processing of sample data on the LIMS

 

You will have:

Evidence of a high level of scientific competence, with a minimum of at least 4 GCSE’s A* to C grade which includes at least two science subjects and an A level in a science subject such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics.
