Our client, a leading Public sector organisation has a requirement for a Community Service Supervisor for the Belfast area.
The role holder is required to effectively deliver the following key requirements:
Supervision and coaching of people subject to Community Service.
Represent the board to the public and promote work of Community Service.
Maintenance of accurate records/time sheets.
Effective co-operation and liaison with the public/project hosts.
Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety.
Legislation, policy and procedures.
Taking instructions regarding work location and tasks.
Safe use and maintenance of tools/supplies/ health and safety equipment.
Development of good working practices and positive attitude towards individuals subject to Community Service.
Transporting of individuals subject to Community Services and equipment to work sites.
Maintain standards of professional practice.
Adhere to information security policy and procedures.
Promote equality, diversity and Human Rights in working practices.
Drive and operate, with appropriate training/licensing, Graffiti Removal Service vehicle(s).
Applicants must have:
Strong communication skills.
Experience of being able to deal appropriately with challenging behaviour/the ability to de-escalate a situation in the course of their work.
The ability to effectively supervise others through coaching, mentoring, instruction and setting clear boundaries.
The competence to carry out tasks to a high standard in at least two of the following: gardening, painting and decorating, grounds maintenance, building and carpentry.
At least one year’s experience of using a vehicle in the course of their work.
Awareness of good practice in relation to Health and Safety.
A valid driving licence, which covers towing a trailer or agree to attain the necessary category to enable this and operation of the Graffiti Removal Service vehicle within the probationary period (training will be provided).
Use of a car which can carry a minimum of four passengers and equipment safely.
A car with a tow bar fitted, or be willing to have one fitted.
Enhanced Access NI required when offer made.
This role has an immediate required start date and will continue initially until 31/08/2022 with possible extension.
Tues.-Sat. 9am – 5pm
40 hours per week
