Conservation Joiner – Moira

£11.66 per hour

 

Job Duties:

· Operate all hand tools and machines pertaining to conservation joinery.

· Make conservation joinery items to a high standard of conservation craftwork.

· Making templates and producing drawings.

· Working with dimensional drawings.

· Cleaning and repairing detailed historical conservation joinery.

· Cleaning and repairing timber elements of structures, buildings and monuments, including dismantling, repair and re-assembly of elements on site and in the workshop.

· Erect on site materials and structures made in the workshop.

· Load and unload materials for transport to and from site.

· Drive Departmental vehicles, including transport of colleagues and materials.

· Completing required documentation as requested.

· Carrying out general labouring duties.

· Attending training as required.

 

You will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Working towards or having gained NVQ level 3 Heritage Skills in wood occupations.
