We are currently recruiting for a Higher Scientific Officer based in Hillsborough. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork, ANI clearance has been completed.

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 3 months

Rate of pay: £17.94

Hours of work: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (Occasional out of office hours or Weekend Work Required)

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery of the scientific tasks within a range livestock production research projects.

This work will include:

Recording scientific data

Manual handling of livestock and agricultural equipment (outdoor),
Inputting and checking data on computerised systems and production of summary data/reports for commercial funders.
Ability to work weekends essential

Essential Criteria applicants must have:

Level 5 (Foundation Degree) or equivalent or higher Level qualification in a scientific discipline AND 1 years’ demonstrable experience in relevant field

OR

Level 4 or equivalent (HNC) AND 2 years’ demonstrable experience in relevant field

Experience of having worked with agricultural livestock

Experience in Microsoft Office
