Data Protection Officer MID AND EAST ANTRIM COUNCIL POST

HOURS- 37 9-5 MONDAY – FRIDAY

LOCATION – Ballymena

Salary – £17.06 – £18.20 PER HOUR

Essential Criteria:

Criterion 1

Applicants must have a minimum of a degree in a relevant subject e.g. Business, English, Law, Politics or Sociology.

Criterion 2

Be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have three years’ management experience in a Policy or Research Function.

Criterion 3

Please demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that you have a minimum of 3 years’ (5 years’ if you do not have the academic requirement in Criteria 1) relevant administrative experience to include:

 

Proven ability to work in partnership with a range of stakeholders to develop and implement strategies, policies or initiatives which deliver positive outcomes;

Criterion 4

Please demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that you have a minimum of 3 years’ (5 years’ if you do not have the academic requirement in Criteria 1) relevant administrative experience to include:

 

Supporting and advising Elected Members and other stakeholders within a partnership working framework;

Criterion 5

Please demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that you have a minimum of 3 years’ (5 years’ if you do not have the academic requirement in Criteria 1) relevant administrative experience to include:

 

Proven ability to work effectively within a highly pressurised political environment, where priorities and deadlines are subject to change;

Criterion 6

Please demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that you have a minimum of 3 years’ (5 years’ if you do not have the academic requirement in Criteria 1) relevant administrative experience to include:

 

Managing robust information governance and management practices and/or related functions (such as information audit, risk management, records management, GDPR compliance).

Criterion 7

Hold a full current driving licence to drive within Northern Ireland and access to a form of transport that meets the needs of the post in full OR have access to a form of transport which enables the applicant to meet the full requirements of the post in full.* (*This relates to any person who has declared that they have a disability which debars them from driving).
