DEPUTY HEAD OF FACILITIES – NHS TRUST VACANCY – Birmingham Community Health care – Band 8a

Our NHS trust client consists of a Facilities Management (FM) and multi-disciplinary team containing approximately 200 staff. The role will see you take responsibility of direct line management of two Facilities Managers and one Catering Lead.

Providing strong and effective leadership to the operational delivery across Trust Soft FM Services. Staff reporting to the Deputy Head of Facilities will include Patient Catering, Retail, Portering, Switchboard Housekeeping/ Domestic Services, Linen, Waste Management and Soft FM contracts.

Essential Requirements

• Soft Service FM experience essential
• Experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams essential
• Degree qualified individuals preferred
• Ability to manage both operationally and strategically essential
• Full UK driving Licence (over 20 facilities across the trust)

The Role (a fully exhaustive list can be provided to suitable applicants)

In support of Clinical Teams, ensure the best possible care for patients, by providing suitable Soft FM Services, maintaining an appropriate physical care environment across the whole estate.
Support the Head of Facilities in the management of Health and Safety Governance and the Premises Assurance Management model (PAM).
Accountable to the Head of Facilities for the efficient management of delegated Soft FM Facilities budgets, including related service contracts with both commercial and NHS providers.
As a member of the wider senior leadership team, you will participate in Trust wide planning and contribute to the strategic direction of the Trust and System
