location – Mossley Mill
Hours 9-5 Monday – Friday

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The Digital Development Officer will support the Head of ICT in the delivery of the Council’s  ambitious digital strategy. The post holder will be the lead officer for the Digital Operating  Team.

The postholder will work closely with the Head of ICT and Digital Operating Team, to ensure  the successful delivery of the Council’s Digital Strategy and Plan; acting as the key contact  for digital projects and providing the link between the Council’s technical environment and  the business need.

QUALIFICATIONS

∙ A minimum BTEC

HNC/HND in a

relevant discipline

such as Computer Studies or Information  Technology

AND

• A minimum of 3 years

recent relevant

experience providing

IT technical support for major change  projects in a large organisation.

EXPERIENCE

OR

• 5 years recent relevant

experience providing

It technical support, for major change  projects in a large organisation

Be able to demonstrate, by providing  personal and specific examples, that they  have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a  Technical IT role:

∙ Defining and documenting test cases for  new systems and maintaining live

systems to ensure ongoing performance ∙ Proven track record of delivering digital  systems and integrations with successful  outcomes

KNOWLEDGE

∙ Working within an agile environment to  deliver agile processes

KEY SKILLS &

ABILITIES

∙ Competent in the use of Microsoft office  an d Microsoft windows applications

BEHAVIOURAL  COMPETENCIES

∙ Display a positive attitude including a  solution based, flexible and enthusiastic  approach.

∙ Excellent organisational skills with the  ability to prioritise and work on own  initiative

∙ Ability to work to a high degree of

quality, accuracy, sensitivity and

confidentiality

∙ Ability to exercise tact, diplomacy and  discretion

∙ Familiar with project management  approaches, tools and phases of the  project
