Domestic Assistant – Dungannon.

We are recruiting Domestic Assistants to join our client in Dungannon

Shifts :
1. 30 hours – 7.30am – 1.30pm working 5 days out of 7 and can include weekends
2. 20 – 35 hours – working between 7.30am – 9.30pm 5 days out of 7 and can include weekends

Temporary position ( 6 weeks initially)

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting a Domestic Assistant to join a busy healthcare environment in Dungannon. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitising wards, corridors, and clinical areas
• Maintaining high standards of infection control and hygiene
• Safe handling and disposal of waste, including clinical waste
• Cleaning patient rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
• Operating cleaning equipment and using appropriate cleaning materials
• Ensuring all areas are kept clean, tidy, and hazard-free
• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and hygiene products
• Following all hospital health and safety procedures

Essential Requirements

• Must be able to comply with uniform policy at all times
• Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and evenings
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Desirable (but not essential)

• Previous experience in a domestic, cleaning, or healthcare setting
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures
