I have a really exciting opportunity for a motivated & enthusiastic Events Manager to join my client, a state-of-the-art creative hub and production facility in the centre of London!
You’ll be responsible for running all of their events, making sure they’re properly marketed to their target audience. These events include exhibitions, conferences and seminars as well as parties. These events will mainly be focussed on Fashion, Art & Music but may sometimes be other creative disciplines.
You’ll get to manage the whole process from the outset, sourcing new business, planning through to running and then conducting post event evaluation. It’s a hands on role and involves a lot of teamwork.
There’s travel involved to clients, venues, sponsors and partners, but the role is otherwise office based. Some events, such as outdoor concerts or Festivals may require additional travel.
As an event manager, you’ll need to:
- Generate new business by building relationships with prospective clients
- Create in-depth proposals for events with attention to detail (including timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
- Negotiate and engage with suppliers and Contractors
- liaise with PR and marketing teams to publicise and promote the event
- Ensure that events are organised in a compliant and
- manage all pre-event planning, organising guest speakers and delegate packs
- coordinate suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget
- manage a team of staff, giving full briefings
- oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficiently
- support senior team members with ad hoc administrative tasks
You’ll need to have:
- 3 years working in Events
- excellent I.T. skills
- organisational skills and attention to detail
- communication and interpersonal skills
- project management experience
- problem-solving skills and diplomacy
- sales and marketing experience
- experience managing budgets
- a flexible, target-driven, proactive approach
- administrative and IT skills
- self-motivation and enthusiasm
