Location: Rushden/Northants

Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 per annum basic + Benefits Package

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Electrically Biased Field Service Engineer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking company based in Rushden/Northants. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar role, possess excellent fault-finding skills and the ability to diagnose faults from electrical drawings. You will be responsible for carrying out repairs, maintenance and service of machines and equipment on our customer’s sites, primarily within the Print, Recycling, Packaging, General Industry and Farming sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• To diagnose faults and carry out repairs at our customer’s sites.
• To carry out maintenance and service of machines and equipment at our customer’s sites.
• To work independently or as part of a team to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard and within the agreed timescales.
• To communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, ensuring that all parties are kept informed of progress.
  This will involve someone with strong PLC programming skills and the ability to back up customer’s existing equipment.
  The company wishes to be in the position where we have a complete catalogue of their machines with all programmable equipment parameters and programs.

  We aim to have a comprehensive back-up in the event that older technology is backed up in the event of failure.

  Key Requirements:

• Relevant industrial and commercial experience within a similar role (minimum 2 years).
• Excellent fault-finding skills.
• Ability to diagnose faults from electrical drawings.
• Working knowledge of PLC’s, Inverters and Drives is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• The desire to learn in a challenging, fast-paced engineering environment.
