Financial Controller

Blackpool

C£35000 – £40000 + Bonuses

Monday-Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm

The Financial Controller should be responsible for managing all financial transactions from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits, budgets and reconciliation.

The Financial Controller responsibilities include:

• Continually auditing the financial health of the business
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Identify numerical errors and potential anomalies
• Prepare budget and cash flow forecasts
• Publish Financial statements in time
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely bank payments
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Comply with financial policies and regulations

The requirements of the Financial Controller are:

• Hands-on experience and knowledge of Sage 200 Standard and Professional
• Work experience as an accountant in similar role
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
• Advanced MS Excel skills including V lookups and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Either BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree or ACCA, CPA or CIMA
