Our client, a renowned engineering company, is currently seeking a Finance Business Analyst to join their dynamic team. As the Finance Business Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial planning processes and reporting. Your expertise will contribute to the success of the Financial Planning Manager and the wider European team.

Main Duties:

Own the consolidation process for Urbanisation Solutions Europe and UK Best Estimate & Month End submissions.
Provide a high level of analytical excellence to the Financial Planning Manager.
Assist in the development of MS Power BI reporting, contributing to enhanced financial insights.
Support the Financial Planning Manager in the preparation of information systems, programs, Excel files, and PowerPoint slides used in the Annual Budget Process.
Ensure the integrity, reliability, and accuracy of data used in key Financial Planning Processes.
Manage and maintain a clearly structured, shared archive of files and develop an in-depth understanding of available data and access methods.
Collate data from across the business to agreed timescales and standards.
Foster excellent working relationships with internal customers, suppliers, and stakeholders through clear, reliable, and timely outputs.

Experience and Qualifications:

Competency in basic accounting concepts.
Formal Accountancy qualification (part or complete) advantageous but not essential.
Advanced knowledge and skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Strong analytical and investigative skills.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a business, corporate, controllership, or GES role involving KPI and financial reporting and/or business analysis.
Strong ability to handle large-scale data manipulation and present it in a simplified format.

Additionally, the successful candidate will:

Provide a high level of analytical excellence to the Financial Planning Manager.
Assist in the development of integrated Excel models to support key Financial Planning Processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to agreed timescales and standards.
Generate scenario and sensitivity analyses to facilitate decision-making.
Lead the transition of reporting from Excel to MS Power BI.
