Main Purpose of the Job:
The Fitness Instructor is responsible for providing exceptional customer care, conducting fitness inductions, kinesis training, exercise prescriptions, assessments, and participating in the Exercise Referral Scheme within our versatile gymnasium. This role also encompasses maintaining a customer-centric approach and conducting fitness classes as part of daily duties.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Service Delivery:

  • Instruct, supervise, and guide customers in the proper use of gymnasium equipment, kinesis training, and fitness classes during assigned shifts.
  • Create personalized fitness programs tailored to individual needs, goals, including offering advice on diet analysis and lifestyle choices.
  • Ensure exercise programs are safe and suitable for each individual’s requirements.
  • Manage and update customers’ personal TGS keys, adhering to wellness system updates. (Each instructor has a client portfolio).
  • Collaborate with clients referred through the Exercise Referral Scheme and other wellness programs, such as Fit Families and Cardiac Rehab.
  • Maintain cleanliness standards in the gymnasium, changing rooms, Amplio Studio, Kinesis Suite, and designated areas.

General Management:

  • Promote equality, diversity, and positive relations in service delivery and employment.

  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and develop safety arrangements.

Person Specification:

Essential Criteria:

  • Recognized Fitness Instruction/Coaching qualification (minimum level 2 REPs).
  • Recognized qualification in group exercise classes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Packages (Word and Excel).
  • Minimum 6 months’ customer-focused industry experience.
