Our client, a leading public sector organisation, based in Portrush are looking to recruit an Industrial Ranger to join their team.
The role is available from the 30/05/2022 for 4 months.
Hourly Pay: £11.66
37 hours per week Monday to Sunday – 5 over 7 days
Key Responsibilities:
- To man the exhibition centre at Portrush Coastal Zone under COVID restrictions.Providing outreach and education to the public and visitor groups on the exhibits contained within the centre.
Ensuring the centre is open during advertised times daily.
Feeding of live sea creatures as instructed
Carry out water change in sea water tanks as instructed
Comply with all risk assessments including COVID-19
Relay information to the visitors on sea life creatures in tanks
Produce weekly time sheet to Manager by Friday of each week.
Opening, closing and checking security of building, setting of alarm, ensure security of building before leaving.
Assisting with the operational running of the site.
Supervision of school groups for tourists, school, special need groups.
Lifting litter and keeping toilets clean and replenished during opening hours.
Essential Criteria:
- Paid/voluntary/academic experience related to marine conservation/species/archeology is desirable.Previous experience of providing outreach/education to the public and/or school groups would be desirable.
5 GCSEs including Maths and English
