Job Title: IT Systems Administrator
Location: Newport
Salary: £22,000-£25,000 starting depending on experience but there is progression with salary
Hours: Full time. Temp to Perm 5 days Monday – Saturday 8:30-5:00 you get 1 day off a week and every other Saturday worked
Here at The Recruitment Co we are currently recruiting IT Systems Administrator to work for a company based in Newport.
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for providing support to clients in terms of both software and hardware, whether by face to face, over the telephone or via email. To visit client sites and undertake regular contracted support or deal with urgent repairs or maintenance. Also to diagnose and repair equipment which has brought into the main premises.
Main Tasks to be Carried Out:
- To provide 1st, 2nd Line Technical Support to existing and new clients, by face to face, telephone or via email.
- Provide appropriate hardware and software training and advice following on from the installation of equipment.
- Resolving client issues which have occurred in relation to computer related devices including printers, projectors and interactive whiteboards.
- Cabling and network installations.
- Installing / reinstalling hardware and software on laptops and personal computers.
- Managing installations of server and network equipment using recognised Project Management Guidelines.
- Maintaining a log of all work undertaken on behalf of clients using our CRM System.
- Any other tasks as required by the Director or Office Manager of A2Z Computing Ltd.
Essential Skills Required:
- Full clean driving licence, together with own transport which is insured for business purposes.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Based Operating Systems with emphasis on Windows 7, SBS2008/2010, VMs, Most Main stream Windows Servers.
- Strong working knowledge of the setting up of PC hardware and configuration of hardware.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills.
- Excellent Organisational Skills.
- Keen interest in current technology developments.
Desirable Skills Required:
- Knowledge of CRM Systems, VM Systems
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 7, 8.1, 10 and Server 2012, 2016.
- Knowledge of Server Hardware / Raid Technology.
- Strong understanding of web-based technologies.
