We are currently looking to recruit a IT Technical Support Officer to work in Bishop Hospital.

This is a temporary role, for 3 months with the possibility to extend.

Location – Bishop Auckland Hospital.
Hours – 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 0900am – 1700pm.

Immediate start available.

Must have a driving License and own transport.

JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY
? The post holder will work closely with the technical support team to maintain the smooth and efficient operation of end-user computer equipment through the effective installation, configuration and basic troubleshooting.
? Ensure effective customer service to ICT users across the trust providing direct
customer support both over the telephone and in person.

DIMENSIONS OF THE JOB
? You will be providing basic technical support to over 9000 users across the Trust, supporting all hardware and software components related to technical services.
? Manage queues and records through a service desk system
? Ensure effective and efficient customer service.
? Provide assistance to, and work closely with the Technical Infrastructure and
Operations teams.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be part of an experienced team of Technical Support officers.
Main duties are:

? Provide assistance to, and work closely with the Technical project, Infrastructure and Operations teams.
? Provide basic advice, training, and support to users across the Trust for hardware and commonly used software and services.
? To administer user accounts using common directory service systems to a basic level. Control access to applications; modify user and computer accounts and change of passwords.
? Troubleshoot basic desktop and physical network connectivity issues
? Accurately record, log and progress basic technical support faults and requests assigned to the team.
? Supervision of hardware and software engineers while on-site during system
installations, upgrades or repairs
? Support the build and configuration of workstations and other ICT equipment
such as printers, desk phones, smartphones, tablets and other supported
peripherals.
? Undertake the installation, upgrade and deployment of client operating systems to a basic level.
? Assist in the compilation and maintenance of an accurate inventory of hardware and software.
? Assist in the maintenance of documented procedures. Ensure any out of date
documentation is either updated or escalated.
? Prepare and record data assets for the decommissioning process.
? Maintain a clear and tidy workspace, ensuring equipment is accurately labelled.
