Our client a prestigious law firm based in Manchester are seeking a legal secretary to join their award winning firm. This role is integral to the continued success of the firm.
For more than 25 years we’ve provided genuine, clear and honest legal advice to people in cases relating to medical negligence, personal or criminal injury, civil liberties, travel and inquests.
I am seeking a Legal Secretary to join the in the Manchester team. You will provide high level secretarial and administrative support to various teams across the business, ensuring all communications are handled in a confidential, efficient and diplomatic manner.
Responsibilities include:
- Typing dictation and preparing correspondence and documents
- Formatting, paginating, numbering and presenting documents
- Using Proclaim case management system
- Liaising with clients, medical experts and the Court
- Processing and distribution of all incoming telephone calls, including the logging of calls and the conveying of messages
- Opening and distributing incoming mail and tracing post/invoice references and preparing outgoing post
- Sorting of outgoing cheques and letters for posting
- Logging and recording of special deliveries
- Assisting with booking meeting rooms/visitors to the premises
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a law firm or in a similar role within professional services
- Ability to provide support with all administrative activities
- Excellent communication, client care and relationship building skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team but also have the ability to work independently
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure with good management and organisation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and levels of accuracy
- Experience in digital and/or audio typing
- Be proactive and able to use own initiative
- Solid IT Skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe and knowledge of using case management software.
