We are currently recruiting a Marketing Officer to join our client in Antrim

  • 6 months initially with a possible extension
  • Antrim but may be required to work at Mossley Mill and other locations as required
  • £18.35 per hour
  • Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

Job duties:


MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Support the Head of Communications in developing and implementing a strategic
approach to marketing. Responsible for the marketing and promotion of existing
services and co-ordination of Council’s advertising activity, the Marketing Officer
will assist in delivering outputs such as increased usage and income, as well as
delivering social outcomes in line with Council’s Corporate and Community Plans
and strategic priorities.

Essential Criteria:

Criterion 1

Applicants must possess a degree in a communications, marketing or media relations discipline.

Criterion 2

Be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples a minimum of two years (4 years if criteria 1 is not met) management experience in the field of communications, marketing or media relations, to include:

  • Developing and implementing successful marketing or promotional strategies

Criterion 3

Be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples a minimum of two years (4 years if criteria 1 is not met) management experience in the field of communications, marketing or media relations, to include:

  • Managing relationships with a range of parties and stakeholders

Criterion 4

Be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples a minimum of two years (4 years if criteria 1 is not met) management experience in the field of communications, marketing or media relations, to include:

  • Managing performance and analytical work for purposes of benchmarking, targeting and evaluation

Criterion 5

Be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples a minimum of two years (4 years if criteria 1 is not met) management experience in the field of communications, marketing or media relations, to include:

  • Managing a budget

Criterion 6

A sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.

Criterion 7

A full current driving licence valid in the UK and access to a vehicle OR have access to a form of transport that enables you to carry out the duties of the post[i].
