The Recruitment Co. is urgently recruiting for Mechanical Site Fitter to join our clients national team! Immediate starts available!!

Rate of Pay: Up to £16 per hour

Hours of work: 40 hours p.w Monday to Friday Day shifts

Contract: Permanent

Working away from home: Accommodation is paid for by the company + £25 a night food allowance.
This is a national role therefore candidates MUST be prepared to travel and work away from home Monday to Fridays and occasionally stay over weekends if the location of the job is very far away. Meeting at clients Port Talbot site on a Monday morning to travel together in a work Van to site/job and returning Friday afternoon.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Member of the National Installation/Maintenance site team, working in Teams of 2, 3 or 4 people to carry out industrial door installation and maintenance, including fault finding.
• Must be able to work as a member of a team but also be able to work alone.
• Be able to take instructions from the Site Supervisor and can carry them out in a timely manner.
• Work with designated equipment/tools provided by the company.
• Comply with all Health and Safety requirements both from the company and any site-specific ones, which includes wearing all relevant PPE.

Experience required:-

• Previous Mechanical site fitter experience
• Site experience is essential
• CSCS Cards to work on site
• IPAF (Working at height on Mobile Elevated Working Platforms)- desirable

Security clearance will be required to work on MOD bases, which will be completed once you have started. Having a current clean DBS check would be beneficial.
Security clearance will include:

• DBS Check (paid for by the company)
• Clean Driving Licence
• Passport
• Employment Reference which covers the last 3 years of employment.
• Personal Reference from someone who has known the candidate for at least the last 3 years.
• Drug and Alcohol test (paid for by the company)
