On behalf of NIE Networks, we are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Meter Reader. NIE Networks is dedicated to providing a reliable and secure energy supply for Northern Ireland, and we are looking for a motivated individual to play a key role in achieving this mission.
Position: Meter Reader
Location: Carrickfergus and surrounding areas
About the Role:
As a Meter Reader, you will represent NIE Networks by engaging with customers and accurately recording energy usage data. You will be a crucial part of our operations, contributing directly to our customer service excellence and operational efficiency.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive Pay: £11.44 for the first 12 weeks and then goes up to £13.62 per hour
- Performance Incentive: Earn up to an additional £300 per month through our performance incentive scheme after 12 weeks
- Car Allowance: £5,045 per annum (applicable after 12 weeks)
- Holiday Pay: 28 days of paid holidays, increasing to 31 days after 12 weeks of employment
- Flexible Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8:00 – 20:00) and Saturday (9:00 – 13:00)
- Efficient Work Week: Paid for 37 hours while allocated 30 hours of meter reading to maintain work-life balance
- Career Progression: Temporary ongoing position with the potential for a permanent contract after at least 1 year
