Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Day or Night Shifts available – £41-48k salary dependent upon shift preference – Advance Material manufacturer – 26 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
LOCATION: Gloucester GL1
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week
SHIFTS AVAILABLE: Night Shift (10pm-6am) Mon – Fri // Paying £48k inc. Shift allowance
Day Shifts (Double day shift pattern 6am-2pm // 2pm-10pm) Paying £41k inc. Shift allowance
What you need….
Time served maintenance engineer is preferred, City and Guilds or NVQ an advantage but not critical.
Electrical fault diagnosis associated with PPM or reactive maintenance of the site.
Repair of drive systems, control systems, motors, electrical distribution systems
Experience with inverter and dc drive controls
Experience with PLC control systems.

The role…
Be able to carry out both Electrical and Mechanical reactive and preventative activities.
Maintenance and repairs on a range of industrial factory equipment
Electrical, Single, 3 phase Motors and PLCs
Mechanical engineering, Pneumatics, bearings, pumps, valves, chains and boilers, CNC routers and Waterjets
Able to work well in a team.
Provide a reactive and proactive maintenance service
Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service, which covers electrical and mechanical disciplines.
Provide a service that ensures all mechanical and electrical equipment is running to optimum performance
Provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met.
Carry out modifications and installations when required
Liaise with sub-contractors and external suppliers.
Take ownership of tools and equipment provided and ensure they are maintained to an appropriate standard.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Essential Qualifications:
Completion of a nationally recognised apprenticeship.
MEWP
FLT counterbalance.
City & Guilds / ONC / HNC in electrical engineering
18th Edition wiring regs preferred, minimum 17th Edition.
Experience of working in a heavy engineering environment.
Experience of working on the following:
Electrical distribution systems, 3 phase & single-phase systems, control systems, PLCs, drive systems.
