Multi Skilled Operator / £24,135.41-£28,862.78 / Days OR Nights / Food Production / Leigh Area

The Recruitment Co is seeking a Multi-Skilled Machine Operator to join our clients food production team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and managing a fully automated production line in the food industry. Reporting to the Team Leader, the Multi Skilled Operator is primarily based within the packing end of production. They are responsible for running various pieces of packing machinery and processing the finished goods, ready for dispatch. All tasks must be completed in a manner to achieve the safe, hygienic, efficient, and best-cost manufacture of all designated products to the required quality, specification and quantity.

These positions are permanent.

We have openings on two shifts:
Opportunity 1 – Days 8:00am-4:00pm (Mon-Fri) £24,135.41
Opportunity 2 – Nights 10:00pm-06:00am (Mon-Fri) £28,862.78

How will you stand out?
● Demonstrate flexibility in line with Business Requirements
● Be organised, conscientious and be confident in ability to operate machinery
● Be able handle a high level of responsibility, remaining calm and focused under pressure
● Have basic food hygiene trained in-house
● Have an awareness and understand of all CCP’s for the Line
● Have a high level of numeracy and literacy – demonstrate accuracy in paperwork and in calculations.
● Have good Communication skills – working collaboratively with operatives and the Team Leader
● Have excellent awareness of Health and Safety
● Have an excellent timekeeping and attendance records

The successful Machine Operator will have previous experience of working in the food manufacturing
sector operating machines.
