About the Role: We are excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Production/Manufacturing Engineer to be part of our dedicated industrial engineering team. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the productivity and efficiency of our manufacturing processes for both new and existing machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and model solutions to enhance overall design productivity, including cost analysis.
- Drive initiatives to minimize waste and optimize workplace ergonomics to ensure compliance with H&S regulations and company standards.
- Provide process engineering support for continuous improvement across manufacturing operations, encompassing new product development, process/equipment reliability and performance, cost efficiency, and productivity.
- Manage design release, version control, and Bill of Materials (BoM) requirements in accordance with ISO9001 standards.
- Identify strategic improvements for production equipment to drive operational efficiency.
- Collaborate in solving manufacturing problems and quality issues.
- Create CNC programs and design production fixtures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful execution of projects.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- HNC/HND/Degree qualification in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Proficiency in turning, milling, and welding processes.
- Experience in design, commissioning, and validation of associated tooling.
- Strong understanding of Engineering Drawing Practice, including interpretation of GD&T.
- Solid knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and world-class manufacturing techniques, focusing on waste reduction and value-added activities.
- Familiarity with SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die) and zero-point tooling systems.
- Experience in CAD/CAM and CNC programming for turning/milling processes.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with effective presentation abilities.
- Proactive and skilled in planning, organization, and achieving measurable results.
