The Recruitment Co are looking for a Quality Engineer to hit the ground running within a client who are a leading provider of manufacturing services and manufacturer of electronic components.

Working on advanced flight controls, smart surgical tools, intelligent vehicle charging and seamless automation, the company is full of creative and passionate people working towards a common goal within aerospace and defence, industrial and the transportation industries.

The Role:
The Quality Engineer will need to drive continuous improvement through supply base by effective performance measurement, 8D and RCCA management.

The Responsibilities:

• Conduct supply chain audits and visits and act as focal point for quality
• Ensure compliance to ISO9001, AS9100 and customer standards
• Drive continuous improvement to deliver RFT and COPQ objectives to include RCCA, PPAP, 8D and control plans
• Interact with key stakeholders, suppliers and internal customers as required
• Training, coaching and support of Supply Chain team
• Ensure team compliance with BMS process and procedure documentation creation
• Drive and facilitate effective RCCA through AS13000
• Manage customer returns using RMA and driving to root cause
• Coordination and leading PPAP activity
• Managing Permit/Waiver status
• Conduct internal and external audits to AS9100

The skills and experiences required:

• Understanding of AS911 and Business Management Systems
• Ability to influence key stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Effective RCCA problem solving
• Ability to create and work to KPIs in a performance driven environment
• Health and Safety awareness
• Lead or Internal Auditor qualified (AS9100)
• Experience in aerospace or similar
• Experience of Customer FAIR to AS9102
• Experience of application of Lean tools
• Qualification in Quality/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering
