Quality Inspector – Gain Valuable Experience

Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform Incoming Goods-In and Final Inspection activities.
  • Take an active role in addressing immediate factory quality issues and participating in the Warranty process.

Your Qualifications:

  • Proficient in the use of conventional measuring equipment, with the ability to select the appropriate measurement method to meet tolerance requirements.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including geometric tolerances to BS8888.
  • A solid understanding of calibration control processes.
  • Comfortable with basic PC skills, including report construction using Excel and/or Word.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with tubular products and thread measurement.
  • Familiarity with raw/machined forgings and castings.
  • Knowledge of inspecting coated/painted products.
  • Experience using FARO arm measurement.
  • Proficiency in CMM programming using Virtual DMIS/Aberlink.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant gauging and inspection technology, such as hand-gauges and micrometers.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate findings effectively with key stakeholders within the Engineering team.
  • Safety-conscious with confidence in working autonomously.
  • Willingness to contribute to procedure development and continuous business improvement.
  • Basic understanding of test techniques, including strain gauging, servo actuation, computer/PLC control, data logging, test instruments, and hydraulic circuits.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills for hydraulic product tear-down.
  • Basic knowledge of fitting, welding, machining, electrics/electronics, materials, measurement, and hydraulic controls/systems.
  • Strong communication skills.
