37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Job Responsibilities:

• R&D project liaison
• Managing purchasing information and systems
• Managing suppliers, relationships and implementation of Service Level Agreements
• Ensuring all stock takes (weekly, monthly, end of year) are completed within the agreed timeframes
• Monitoring and managing quality and QA systems
• Effective, proactive liaison with other departments relating to operating, forecasting and services as necessary, e.g. IT department
• Negotiating best prices, quality and service with suppliers
• Cost saving analysis reporting
• Ensuring all computer records are accurate and up to date
• General administration and reporting as necessary
• Payment terms negotiation, optimisation and management
• Stock and materials management
• Health and safety compliance
• Other duties deemed necessary as required

The Person:

• Experience in the building industry
• Direct experience within a buyer role (3 plus years ideally)
• Experience of working within a KPI managed environment
• Happy to work in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience working within a fast paced environment
