Job Summary: The person appointed will assist and deputise for the Stores
Supervisor over the full range of duties to ensure an efficient and dependable
service within the Stores Department in accordance with agreed operational
systems and policies. These basic functions will extend to any stores
departments within the Northern Trust.

  1. Electro Medical (EME), stationery, Community Aids & Adaptions (A &
    A) stock items by electronic ordering of these items and providing the
    correct order price, description and supplier.
    2. Ensure secure receipt by signature, electronic recording, and custody
    of all EME, Engineering , Community Aids & Adaptions and stationery
    stock within NHSCT Estates stores and reporting of any
    3. Ensure accurate issuing of all Engineering, EME, Community Aids &
    Adaptions, and stationery stock and accurate recording of these issues
    in issue books and electronic systems.
    4. Ensure secure receipt by signature, electronic recording, reporting of
    any discrepancies/defects and delivery of all Non stock items
    5. Ensure all ward/department essential stock items are at sufficient
    levels by informing central supplies of items that need replenished, and
    by delivering these items to the wards/depts.
    6. Participate as and when required in Engineering, EME , Stationery and
    Community Aids & Adaptions stock checks.
    7. Collect previously ordered items from suppliers and deliver stock and
    non-stock items throughout Holywell and Antrim hospital site.
    8. Responsible for holding and security of Occupational Therapy (OT)
    9. Identify orders that include Portable Appliance testing (PAT) and EME
    equipment , record and label equipment, and pass details to Estates
    asset co-ordinator and EME administration team.
    10. Responsible for secure packaging and return to supplier of defective
    high value EME items for repair.
    11. Responsible for liaising with Capital Development and External
    Contractors for the holding and delivery of high value equipment to be
    commissioned within new departments.
    12. Assist ward/departments in the use of Eprocurement system to order
    stock and non stock items.
    13. Responsible for all Engineering, EME, Stationery, and A & A stock as
    keyholders for Antrim and Holywell stores.
    14. Provide cover in all NHSCT Estates Engineering stores as and when
    15. Any other duties as deemed necessary in connection with the Stores
    and Distribution function.

Full time hours

*5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) PLUS 1 years
experience of working in a
store/warehouse with “hands on”
computerised stock control.

2 years experience of working in a store/
warehouse with “hands on”
computerised stock control.
Equivalent qualifications considered.

This position is for 3 months +
