Role: Support Services Assistant

Pay: £10.42 per hour

Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM, 25 hours per week (including weekends on a rota basis)

Are you ready to contribute to the smooth operation of our designated facility through cleaning, catering, portering, and laundry services? Join our team as a Support Services Assistant and play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and efficient environment.

Main Responsibilities: As a Support Services Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our facility, ensuring everything runs seamlessly. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Thorough cleaning of designated areas following work schedules or instructions.
  2. Preparing, cooking, reheating, and serving food and beverages to required standards.
  3. Maintaining accurate records of tasks performed.
  4. Managing laundry services, including sorting and laundering items.
  5. Responsible waste disposal.
  6. Assisting with patient transport, courier duties, and various support services.
  7. Making and stripping unoccupied beds.
  8. Ensuring proper facility security by locking doors and setting alarms.
  9. Upholding personal hygiene and appearance standards.
  10. Adhering to Trust policies and procedures and participating in required training.
  11. Providing support services in other areas of the Trust to address staff shortages.
  12. Note: If working in residential facilities, you may have unsupervised access to children or people with learning disabilities while performing cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Essential Criteria:

  1. Minimum age requirement: 18 years of age
  2. Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
