Job Title: Trainee Technical Sales Executive
Location: Pontypool
Salary: £20,000 per annum Hours: Full time permanent, days regular Monday to Thursday: 8:25-16:25 and to 3:25 on a Friday.
Hybrid role able to work 2 days from home once fully trained

Here at The Recruitment Co we are currently recruiting a Trainee Technical Sales Executive to work for a company based in Pontypool

You will be there to provide support to the technical sales team but with the view to learning the role and ultimately provide advice and support on the range of products that is suitable to both new and existing clients.
At all times carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the post in compliance with Policies and Procedures.

Main Job Roles

• Assist colleagues in the tendering of new contracts
• Assist when appropriate in supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows and other marketing events
• Assisting the Sales team with technical review and evaluation of provided
• client RFQ (Request for Quotation)
• Entering the technical details accurately into the system (SAP)
• Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
• Participating in Sales Team meetings
• Meet regular team targets
• Follow up any leads and or quotes for potential new clients in a timely manner
• Assist in terms of providing pre-sales support to clients which may be face to face or via email/ phone
• Work closely with the design team to ensure products is designed to specification that has been agreed with clients
• Gather market and customer information
• Gain a clear understanding of customers businesses and requirements
• Work with only general supervision within established guidelines

Required Experience

• A willingness to learn sales and negotiation, with confident liaison skills with clients and stakeholders.
• Experience of using databases, and be confident in using Excel, demonstrating numeracy skills and attention to detail
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in person, telephone and written
• Excellent Customer Service Skills, with the ability to use discretion, patience, tact and respect for confidentiality
• Experience of working to conflicting and tight deadlines

Desirable

• Experience of working within a manufacturing environment
• Understanding of CAD/ Technical drawings
• An understanding of HVAC engineering
• Demonstrable mechanical and technical skills
