The Recruitment Co are looking for 3 Permanent Transport Administrators to join our client based in Rochdale, who are the distribution partner for a major UK retailer.
Shifts Pattern:
4 on 4 off rota (weekly rotation of Days & Nights – 6am-6pm & 6pm-6am)
Salary:
£25,834.00 per annum
The Role:
Join them as their Transport Administrator, reporting into the Transport Team Managers to support their customer from the Rochdale depot. Delivering Transport KPIs through completing day to day administration tasks across the Transport and Fleet operations to deliver in achieving key plans and objectives, through efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure relevant information relating to transport legislation is available in a timely manner.
- Support fleet changes identified, ensuring all relevant actions are completed and communicated accordingly.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance details to ensure adherence to legal compliance i.e., scheduling, MOTs and servicing.
- Coordinate and support repair and maintenance requirements for Transport Fleet operations in line with legal compliance and regulation.
- Collate and present necessary Transport information to the Planning Team.
- Work as part of the wider operational team to identify and suggest process improvements.
- Support compliance to the Transport Operation plan and escalate any non-compliance to Line Manager.
- Ensure all relevant documentation is accurate to enable a smooth transition to fleet between depots.
- Support end product equipment leasing and hiring.
- Communicate in a timely and effective way, using a variety of methods including telephone, face to face, Microsoft Teams or email.
- Liaise with external functions i.e.; Agencies and Suppliers to achieve Transport objectives and operational plan.
What will you bring to the team?
- Previous experience within a fast-paced transport operation.
- Experience and understanding of relevant legislation and works within site compliance e.g., Drivers hours and working time directive.
- Team player experience within a Transport function and how these feeds into a Distribution network.
- Good computer literacy through a range of systems and platforms (inc Microsoft packages).
- An awareness of health and safety regulations and relevant legislation.
- Passionate to problem solve with strong ability to organise, plan and prioritise workload
