Job Title: Valve Assembly Operative
Location: Newport
Salary: £13.00 per hour
Hours: Full time The role is full time at 37 hours per week.
Mon-Thur 08:00 – 16:45, Fri 08:00-12.00
Here at The Recruitment Co we are currently recruiting a Valve Assembly Operative to work for a company based in Newport.
Main Job Roles:
- To assemble and test the range of products in accordance with written/verbal instructions
- To fit and test proprietary actuators and ancillaries, in accordance with instructions
- To record valve serial numbers and material melt numbers for PED compliance
- Assist in the rectification of identified products, as instructed
- Assist in the investigation of returned products
- Select, withdraw and return products to the warehouse in order to perform the above duties
- Packing and despatch activity when required
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with both customer and company requirements, ensuring high quality levels are maintained
- Ensure that health and safety working practices are followed, in compliance with company and Health & Safety regulations
- Report any shortages or defective product to the Production Supervisor
- Assist other members of the Sales and Distribution Division in their duties
- Be available for overtime working when the need arises
- Assist in the general repair and upkeep of the site when required
- Help in the Goods Inwards receiving process
- Stock-take activities as directed
- Contribute to the good housekeeping of the warehouse and production areas
- Follow the companies general waste/recycling policy
Required Experience
- Experience of working within an assembly/production environment is desirable but not essential,
- Customer service focused at all times
- A broad understanding of company products
- Ability to organise own work priorities with minimum supervision
- Be able to work accurately and methodically to tight deadlines
- Attention to detail is important
- PED Awareness
