Vehicle and Plant Fitter Armagh.

Our client, a large public sector organisation, based in Armagh is looking to recruit a Vehicle and Plant Fitter to join their team.

Hourly Pay: £11.66

Location: Armagh

Length of Assignment: One year

Hours: 8am to 4pm. May vary from depot to depot

Main Duties:

– The service, maintenance and repair of vehicles, plant and equipment. To include minor welding/fabrication, minor electrical repair and operation of stand-alone vehicle/plant diagnostic systems.

– Completion of details on job card and service checklist as required.

– Recording of parts and materials used from stock as per procedures.

– Keep work area and general workshop area clean and tidy to ensure that Health and Safety standards are adhered to.

– Ensure that tools and equipment are maintained and used or operated in the correct manner in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.

– Operate workshop computer system if required (training will be provided as required) to produce job cards or look up data.

– Voluntary standby and callout duties which may be offered. Including Winter and summer maintenance duties.

– Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

– Operate TRANMAN system when required.

– Operate Imprest stock stores system.

– Driving Departmental vehicles and plant.

Essential Criteria:

– NVQ Level 3 in Motor vehicle/ Commercial vehicle / Plant equipment or similar.

– Time served with 2-year post apprenticeship experience gained within the last 5 years.
