Job Title: Welder
Location: Caerphilly
Salary: £15.62 per hour

Hours: Full time permanent Hours – Mon to Fri, 8am – 4pm, 40 hours

Here at The Recruitment Co, we are currently recruiting a Welder to work for a company based in Caerphilly on a permanent contract.

Joins metal parts and fills seams and holes of metal components. Follows sketches and specifications.
Inspects equipment and structures. Follows and maintains knowledge of safety protocol.

Main Job Roles:

• Adhere to, and promote, all required health, safety and welfare policies that are established by the company.
• Uses electricity and torches to produce heat and solder together components made from aluminium and other metals.
• Consults drawings in order to execute jobs and tasks to specification.
• Assess equipment, structures, materials and job specifications for appropriate welding positions and methods.
• Monitors equipment for appropriate usage and temperature.
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of universal standards and specifications in order to meet legal requirements.
• Operates specialised machinery for challenging contracts.
• Setting up components for welding according to specifications.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.

Required Experience

• Previous experience as a welder is necessary.
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (MIG TIG etc).
• Experience in using manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
