The Recruitment Co are recruiting for a Workshop Service Technician to join our client in Little Hulton on a permanent basis.

Our client is a design,manufacture and distributor of electrical products.


£30,000 per annum ( dependant on experience)

Role Summary:
As a Service Technician you’ll deal with customers who are bringing in equipment for repair and you’ll assess returned equipment across our product range and fault find to understand the reason for a system or products fault. You’ll then and subsequently carry out repairs of mechanical and electrical nature to return the equipment to full use and be responsible for writing up the service job to provide feedback and details of parts used in the repair. Our Service Technician’s work across all of our products This is a varied role which offers the opportunity to work on fault finding and repairs across a variety of products with daily interaction with our customers.

Daily Tasks:
o Fault finding across all products to component level identifying issues of an electrical and
mechanical nature.
o Ability to read schematics/technical drawings and disassemble and reassemble products
to Carry out repairs, maintenance and services to equipment i
o Liaise with customers both face to face and over the phone with a focus on providing
excellent customer service.
o Provide technical support to customers experiencing issues.
o Book in systems and complete job sheets in our ERP system to record details of the work
carried out, labour hours and parts used.
o Monitor stock levels and raise stock order requests
o Provide goods in/out support and assistance in picking spare parts when required?

Job Requirements:
HNC or equivalent qualification
of Mechanical/electrical background
o Experience working within a service department
o Experience in soldering, including small components
of Customer service experience
o A can-do attitude
o Computer literate
o Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude to driving improvements.
o Ability to work on your own or as part of a team?
