We are currently recruiting for an Admin Officer based in Newry. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork, ANI clearance has been completed.

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 6 Months with a possibility of extension

Rate of pay: £13.75

Hours of work: 9 to 5, Monday- Friday (37 hours)

Key Responsibilities:

This is an AO post based in Newry Court Office which provides administrative support to criminal & family court business.

Duties typically include the following:

Working closely with the Judge to ensure the smooth running of court business.
General office duties.
Processing cases on to ICOS (Integrated Court Operations System).
Use of IT systems.
Dealing with general telephone queries.
Dealing with members of the public & legal profession within the court environment.
Preparing documentation & files for court.
Records Management.
Cash handling.
Ensuring that all information is managed securely in accordance with the appropriate policies. Acting as court clerk assistant in courts. The post holder will be based in Newry Court Office.
The post holder will work under the supervision of a Section Manager (Executive Officer 2) and will work in accordance with policies, procedures, protocol, legislation and corporate targets and standards.
This post is not suitable for hybrid working

Essential Criteria applicants must have:.

Proof of 5 GCSE including English and Maths Grade C or above of the equivalent

Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent communication skills.
Proven ability to use own initiative.
