Location: Ballymena
Pay: £12.59 per hour (Paid Weekly)
Hours: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (37 hours per week)
Duration: 51 Weeks

Job Details:
The Customer Services Branch (CSB) provides administrative support within the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) local offices. The goal is to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of services provided to customers, mainly farmers, farm families, and rural dwellers. The CSB ensures most customer inquiries are resolved at the first point of contact through various communication channels (phone, fax, email, online, post, and in-person).
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update data on spreadsheets and other systems.
- Process movement documents and animal registrations.
- Communicate with customers in person, via telephone, and email.
- Handle front desk/counter duties.
- Prepare letters and other correspondence.
- Provide services according to departmental standards and guidelines.
- Attend training and development sessions as required.
- Support ad hoc exercises and perform post/courier duties.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Essential Criteria:
- 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English (Grades A-C).
- Excellent IT skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work using your own initiative.
Basic Access NI Check required.
