Job Title: Account Manager
Location: Blackwood (flexi working available up to 50% after fully trained)
Salary: £30,000-£40,000 a year
Hours: Full time. Monday – Friday days regular
Here at The Recruitment Co we are recruiting an Account Manager to work for a company based in Blackwood.
Main Job Roles
- Key account management of strategically significant accounts
- Working with the Project Team, maximise profitability of existing projects, ensuring returns are at least that of Group minimum requirements.
- Ensuring price changes are implemented on time with the correct customer and internal documents in place
- Along with the relevant Finance departments, ensure customer payments are made in line with agreements and pursue collection of any outstanding overdue debt
- Resolve any customer pricing or invoicing issues
- Track customer alignment to agreed contracts including but not limited to key elements of the agreement such as Start of Production dates, Annual Volumes, Pricing and Payment Terms
- A key point of contact for the customer on day to day customer relation topics
- Develop long?term relationships with key stakeholders at customer sites.
- Ownership of 5 Year Sales Plan (12 month budget and 4 year forecast)
- End of production management: Advise run out volume requirements ensuring no obsolete raw material or finished goods
- Service and Spare Part management: Agreement of new pricing, minimum batch quantities and / or All Time Buy
Requirements
- Account Management experience is essential
- Automotive experience is desirable
- Strong soft skills and an understanding of people behaviour and the self-awareness to react appropriately. Be politically astute.
- Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to internal stakeholders and customers, in a clear and concise manner.
- Be sufficiently diligent to ensure accuracy and target zero mistakes.
- Highly professional and capable of being a strong ambassador for the company.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Motivated and a self-starter & able to work on own initiative
- Have a strong work ethic
- Demonstrate tenacity in striving to achieve the desired outcomes.
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ensure that all work activities and records comply with Company Policies, Procedures and Codes of Practice.
- Maintain a high standard of Health and Safety based upon safe working practices and support environmental initiatives.
- Communicate and support the embedding of customer service imperatives across other functions of the business.
- Valid UK Driving licence & Passport – Willing and able to travel globally and at times, at short notice.
