Food & Beverage Account Manager – Northern Ireland
Location: Northern Ireland or Republic of Ireland
Contract Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract
Rate of Pay: £21/hr
Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food & Beverage Account Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role involves selling our range of products and services by engaging with established customers and developing new business prospects. The ideal candidate will have a background in technical sales within manufacturing environments, particularly in the food and beverage (F&B) processing industry. This position requires travel within the assigned territory to meet customers regularly.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Compliance:
- Conduct safety assessments and ensure the use of PPE.
- Report safety observations, participate in safety training, and address near-misses and accidents.
Sales and Market Growth:
- Sales will constitute 15% of the role, focusing on identifying new business prospects.
- Build networks with key decision-makers and influencers within the industry.
Pipeline Management:
- Report weekly on activities and key performance indicators.
- Lead or participate in customer audits for prospecting and tender processes.
Customer Retention:
- Maintain existing accounts and focus on upselling opportunities, working closely with the field sales team.
- Implement action plans to meet contract commitments and customer expectations.
- Execute key retention actions to maintain existing business.
Profit Management:
- Manage pricing execution and implement GMI activities.
- Standardise product offerings to align with core ranges.
Value Delivery:
- Provide services, training, and consultancy to deliver value to customers.
- Report all value actions and achieve service compliance targets.
Food Safety and Digital Tools:
- Promote and deliver food safety packages.
- Implement and maintain digital tools to support customer needs.
Client Interaction:
- Conduct business reviews and site visits, including presentations to clients.
- A rental car will be supplied if needed for client visits.
- Travel will be subsidised if necessary.
Key Skills:
Interpersonal: Strong customer orientation, presentation skills, abstract thinking, collaboration, and positive response to setbacks.
Technical: Over 5 years of technical sales experience in F&B processing, technical expertise in food technology, equipment, and food safety.
IT: Proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Office, and digital apps.
