Part-Time Accounts & Payroll Administrator
Location: Lisburn Area
Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time
Hours: 3 days per week
Rate of Pay: £18.00 per hour
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts & Payroll Administrator to join our client on a permanent, part-time basis in the Lisburn area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional seeking a flexible three-day working week. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of accounts, payroll, bookkeeping and reconciliation duties, ensuring financial records are accurate, up to date and compliant with relevant requirements.
Working as an important part of the organisation’s financial operations, you will require excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and previous experience within a similar accounts and payroll position.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and manage client Direct Debits.
- Reconcile large batch payments for clients and suppliers.
- Review supplier invoices and identify errors or discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies within financial documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and supplier records.
- Contact clients regarding outstanding balances and follow up on payments.
- Process accurate and timely payments to clients and suppliers.
- Carry out general accounting duties, including bookkeeping and tax preparation.
- Identify and communicate financial discrepancies to senior management.
- Process employee payroll accurately and within required timescales.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant requirements.
- Process payroll information for new starters, leavers and changes to employee details.
- Analyse payroll data, identifying and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare payroll reports for management review and audit purposes.
- Keep up to date with changes in payroll legislation and best practice.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Previous experience as an Accounts & Payroll Administrator or within a similar finance position.
- Strong experience in payroll, bookkeeping and financial reconciliation.
- Experience using accounting software, with Xero experience highly desirable.
- Experience analysing financial information and preparing reports.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- The ability to maintain accurate and detailed financial records.
