We are currently recruiting for an Admin Officer for our client based in Foyle (Derry/Londonderry). The successful candidate will be required to start once the vetting paperwork and ANI completed.
Start date: 21st July
Rate of pay: £12.97
Duration: Until 25/1/2026
Hours of work: Full time 37 Hours per week Monday to Friday
No holidays can be accommodated in the first 8 weeks of employment due to the training for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
You will work as part of a multi-fuctional Case Management Team and will be responsible for helping claimants to create and maintain their digital account.
You will be proactive in ensuring all actions and ‘To-Do’s’ required to maintain the claimant’s account are completed promptly and accurately and you will manage cases through the lifetime of the claim. You will communicate with both claimants and colleagues to progress cases and resolve queries through all available channels. In delivering a quality service for claimants you will take a ‘whole case’ approach and be responsible for actively managing al appropriate action promptly on the claim with minimal handoffs. As the Universal Credit service is constantly changing you will also contribute to the continuous improvement of UC by reviewing the service and processes and provide feedback on your own and claimants’ experience.
As automation of UC increases over time, the content of this job role may change.
Essential Criteria applicants must have:
- five GCSE/GCE passes (at A, B or C) with Maths and English.
(Proof of certs required)
- Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability to use own initiative.
