Our client, based in Omagh is looking for an Admin Officer to join their team
Job Description:
– Grants and Funding
Processing the following work areas in line with Staff Instructions –
• Maintaining, updating and enhancing data on the Geographic Information System (GIS) and the Customer Information System (CIS), eg core data changes, new applicant numbers, landowners only and Category 1, 2 and 3 businesses.
• Applications and inspection results for BPS, EFS and cross-compliance.
• Cattle Identification Inspection (CII) and Sheep Identification Inspection (SII) results.
• Agri-Environment Scheme applications and inspection results.
• RD1 and RD2 applications;
• Farm business applications on CIS / GAS;
• DOE Planning Service requests; and
• Receipts on CIS and updating the Customer Survey spreadsheet.
– Testing
Processing the following work areas in line with Staff Instructions –
• Movement licences;
• Discrepancies / I&R issues / queries;
• Movement issues;
• Follow-up queue for TB/BR, giving priority to reactors, post-restrictions / de-restrictions;
• TB/BR breakdowns and associated maps;
• Valuation papers; and
• Printpend letters.
– Identification, Registration and Movement
Processing the following work areas in line with Staff Instructions –
• Movement licences;
• MC1 / MC2 queries;
• Discrepancies / I&R issues / queries; I&R, Investigations, Movement Issues and A2 queues;
• Mart queries and illegal moves;
• Animal Group Numbers and
• applications for Isolation Facilities.
– Customer Services Officer (front desk)
• Providing information on the range of DAERA services via the telephone or face-to-face with customers;
• Actioning map edits on GIS;
• Entering and retrieving data on CIS;
• Receipting customer documentation
• During busy periods post holder will be expected to provide continuous front line cover on a rota basis
– NIDA
• Verify identity of Customers – Photo ID & 2 other documents;??
• Updating all IT systems ensuring NIDA & CIS details match;
• Dealing with customer/agents queries and analysing and investigating faults;?????
• Helping to create NIDA customer accounts and providing digital assistance for customers requiring this service;
• Update Customer records on spreadsheet/HPRM;????
• Report faults through helpdesk & consultants; and
• Providing training and advice to DAERA colleagues.?????
– Trade
• Monitoring and processing of Export Health Certificates in line with Staff Instructions via the DAERA Export Certification Online system (DECOL) within the required timeframe; and
• Dealing with exporter queries and requests in relation to third country exports via the DECOL system.
– Corporate Tasks
• Providing departmental services to customers in line with DAERA’s Customer Service Standards, telephone and written communication guidelines, etc;
• Comply with performance management procedures;
• Attend training and development session as required (Staff must be willing/able to travel off site for these as required);
• Complying with departmental policies and procedures, eg managing attendance, health & safety, fraud, FOI / data protection, information management / security, internet usage, conflict of interest, dignity at work, TARDIS, clear desk, etc;
• Assisting with the processing of corporate returns, eg finance;
• Managing the epizootic store; and
• Providing support for ad hoc exercises, eg information gathering, mail shots etc.
• Post/Courier duties including collection sorting of outgoing mail and distribution of incoming mail
Essential Criteria:
– 5 GCSEs Including Maths and English
– Admin experience
Wage:
– £11.99ph (weekly)

Work Pattern:
– 37 hours per week 9am to 5pm
