Our client, A Large public sector organisation, based in Belfast City Centre is looking for an Admin Officer to join their team.

Job Title: Administrative Officer

Duration: 6 months with the possibility of extension

Rate of Pay: £11.99 per hour

Start Date: ASAP – Must be fully registered to start

Location: Belfast City Centre

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexi-time options available

Main Duties:

As an Administrative Officer, you will play a crucial role in our team by managing your caseload and efficiently completing day-to-day casework investigation activities. You’ll work on cases allocated by the team leader, utilizing the BF system and case status reports on the line of business IT system, JEMS. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Investigation Tasks:
    • Utilizing automated online processes to request financial information from various sources, including the Customer Information System, HMRC, Experian, or LPS Landweb.
    • Writing to the debtor’s bank or employer when identified from searches or reported by the debtor or creditor, to request verification of income and employment.
    • Contacting debtors where telephone communication has been unsuccessful to negotiate an arrangement for payment or to gather information about their financial circumstances.
    • Securely recording all information on JEMS and/or in clerical files, following the EJO manual and/or line manager’s guidance.
  2. Completion of Enforcement Orders:
    • Completing basic enforcement orders, such as Attachment of Earnings Orders or Orders Charging Land, following step-by-step procedures outlined in the EJO Manual.
  3. Debt Negotiation:
    • Conducting telephone debt negotiations to seek either full debt settlement or an agreement to pay by instalments, following the step-by-step call scripts and procedures laid out in the EJO Manual.

Essential Criteria:

To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • 5 x GCSE grades A-C, including mathematics and English.
  • Basic telephony skills.
