Our client, A Large public sector organisation, based in Belfast is looking for an Administrative Officer to join their team.
Duration: October 2026 with possible extension
Rate of pay: £13.75
Location: Belfast City Centre
Hours: 37 hours per week
Start date: ASAP
Main Duties:
The post holder is required to attain a basic knowledge of the EJO legislation both primary and secondary to, where appropriate:
• Deal with a variety of counter, telephone and written queries daily
• Liaise with own team and other MJT staff to resolve escalated queries
• Conduct difficult conversations with debtors as and when required.
Attachment of Earnings Orders & Compliance
• Creating, populating and saving COM1 debtor information forms.
• Checking applications for creditor information.
• Checking and verifying debtor’s employment information and earnings from DOJ’s HMRC Portal.
• Issuing, varying and checking payment compliance of Attachment of Earnings Orders.
• Liaising with debtor’s, creditors, solicitors and employers to ensure timely payment on foot of Attachment of Earnings Orders and providing an excellent customer service.
• Ensuring all relevant documents uploaded to JEMS.
• Updating case notes in JEMS.
• Updating personal spreadsheet.
Other duties include:
• Inbound telephony duties
• Outbound telephony duties
• Office cover 9am – 5pm on a rota basis
• Training new team members as and when required
Best practice and continuous improvement
• Protect the integrity of court records; ensuring that all confidential information is managed appropriately and shared securely
• Develop proficient IT skills in the operation of the computer systems
• Comply with all NICTS and local policies
• Provide input to continuous improvement of best practice and office procedures within your area of responsibility
Essential Criteria:
– 5 GCSEs A-C (Must include Maths and English)
