Position: Admin Officer

AO Pay Rate: £12.97 per hour

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week

Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Maghaberry Prison

Length of Contract: Approx 6 Months

Hours of Work: 9 to 5 Monday to Friday

Job Duties:

– Prepare paperwork for the authorisation of productions of prisoners to Courts, PSNI stations and outside hospitals as requested by PPS, PSNI, Probation and solicitors and create appointment on computer system.
– Liaison with above public bodies and establishment staff as necessary.
– Organise prisoner transfers to UK/ROI.
– Prepare stationery orders and process requests from staff for essential items for staff/prisoners as necessary.
– Ensure PECCS staff pay sheets are processed timeously.
– Collate PECCS staff leave balances as requested.
– Update statistical reports for senior management.
– Maintain staff training records and advisingstaff of training details in writing.
– Processing staff uniform requests.
– Maintain petty cash for PECCS.
– Issue staff notices on behalf of management when requested.
– Ad-hoc duties as and when the need arises, including attendance/minute taking at meetings.
– Previous experience of working in a prison establishment would be beneficial.
– The office is outside the main prison walls.

Essential Criteria:

Must have 5 GCSEs including Maths & English (must be able to show certificates)
