Location: Belfast City Centre
Duration: Up to 51 weeks
Hours of Work: Average of 37 hours per week, scheduled between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday. Some work patterns may include one Saturday shift (9am to 5pm) in ten weeks. Work schedules are managed locally, and changes will be communicated in advance.
Rate of Pay: £12.59 per hour
About the Role: The role is dedicated to promoting financial responsibility among parents, providing guidance and support for effective maintenance arrangements, and ensuring efficient statutory maintenance services with enforcement capabilities.
As an Admin Officer, you will play an integral role in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment, delivering exceptional service to our customers. Your main responsibilities will involve contact with customers via phone, handling both inbound and outbound calls to gather information, process applications, and handle changes efficiently. The nature of this work requires precision and a strong sense of responsibility, as your actions will significantly impact the lives of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Call Handling:
- Manage inbound calls from Paying Parents (PP), Receiving Parents (RP), and employers; some outbound calls may be required.
- Clearly explain processes, set realistic expectations, and provide accurate timelines.
- Collect and document evidence and information over the phone to expedite the processing of new claims and changes of circumstances.
- Maintain a professional and calm demeanor during all customer interactions.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Make maintenance calculation decisions and document them accurately.
- Utilize computer systems for data retrieval and recording.
- Act on incoming correspondence promptly to maintain high standards of customer service.
- Use tracking tools to manage workload and support organizational goals.
- Data Security:
- Ensure customer information is stored securely and in compliance with GDPR guidelines.
Essential Criteria:
- 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English (grades A-C) or equivalent Level 2 qualifications (proof required).
- Successful candidates will be subject to an Access NI check.
