We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our client, based in Belfast as a full-time Administration Officer. This is a long-term temporary opportunity.

Our client is Northern Ireland’s Leading Public Sector Employer.

Administrator Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour

Start Date: As soon as possible

Hours of Work: 

37 Hours per week – Mon to Fri 9am-5pm

Job Duties: 

Administrative Role – OSNI Map Shop
  • Process customer card payments using the card terminal.
  • Provide customer support via email and telephone.
  • Prepare and file end-of-day cash-up reports for credit card transactions
  • Utilise internal employee portal to resolve customer order queries
  • Generate invoices for Archive Service customers registered on Account NI
  • Verify archive sales paperwork against internal spreadsheets for audit purposes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
  • Order consumables and supplies for the section
  • Manage the printing and posting of paper maps for customer orders
  • Respond to customer queries via the OSNI Mapping Helpdesks
  • Cover EOII duties during periods of absence (e.g. annual leave)
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out in compliance with GDPR data handling requirements
  • Comply with NICS Hybrid Working Policy

Essential Experience &Qualifications required:

  • Attention to detail – for accurate financial processing, record-keeping, and audit checks
  • Organisational skills – to manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently
  • Customer service skills – to handle queries professionally via the helpdesk
  • Numeracy – for processing payments, refunds, and preparing financial reports
  • IT proficiency – including use of spreadsheets and email
  • Communication skills – clear written and verbal communication for internal and external interactions
  • Understanding of GDPR – to ensure compliant handling of customer and financial data

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with government processes
  • Flexibility and team support – ability to cover EOII duties and adapt to changing priorities
  • Familiarity with web-based mapping interfaces and software
  • Problem-solving ability – to resolve customer issues and improve administrative processes
