We are currently recruiting for Administration Officer for our client based in Stormont. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork and ANI completed.

Position: Administrative Officer

Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour

Hours:     37 hours per week

Hybrid Working arrangements in place –2 days in the office per week (Wednesday plus one day as determined by management); alternative days may be needed on occasion  as determined by business need and /or management

Start Date: ASAP 12th of January

Location: Stormont

Key Responsibilities:

General support of the TEO Good Relations Outcomes Branch. The role will vary as per business need but will generally include, for example:
– issuing, collating and preparing branch finance and governance returns
– processing of Purchase Orders and Planned Purchase Orders across a number of Cost Centres
–  providing information regarding Purchase Orders and Planned Purchase Orders for departmental Finance reports
– monitoring of 2 mailboxes, dealing with requests and providing responses as required
– providing administrative support across TBUC Good Relations Division including for example processing payments, liaising with IT Assist re staff hardware requirements and attending events, on occasion, to support TEO officials.
–  maintenance and updating of stakeholder contact lists
–  managing appropriate storage of records within NICS systems including Content Manager

Essential criteria: 

  • 5 GCSE’s A*-C including Maths and English (must be able to show evidence)
  • Experience of drafting Finance and Governance Branch returns and reports.
  • Experience using content manager software and with having excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience of engaging (oral and written) with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience of finance processes – specifically processing of Purchase Orders and Planned Purchase Orders.
  • Good writing and copy-editing skills across various mediums.
  • Access to a form of transport to enable postholder meet requirements of post in attending events and visits with stakeholders

Desired criteria :

  • Experience drafting NICS Finance and Governance returns
  • Experience of working in Good / Community Relations would be beneficial
